Meet Eva

Hi!

I’m Eva, the founder of Moringa Speech and Wellness. I am a Speech-Language Pathologist and have worked with adults in a variety of medical settings over many years. I specialize in treating adults with language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders that result from neurodegenerative disease and brain injury, including dementia, Parkinson’s disease, stroke, and spinal cord injury. I strive to provide individualized, functional therapy that patients can practice in real-world settings so that they can accomplish their goals and enjoy life to the fullest.

After treating many patients struggling with diseases that could be improved with healthier lifestyles, I became passionate about incorporating lifestyle into traditional therapy to ensure the best possible outcomes. After many years of practicing wellness coaching exclusively with my speech patients, I began offering coaching to all people seeking to improve their health through lifestyle modification. With both my speech patients and coaching clients, I am continuously amazed by the power of lifestyle to drastically improve overall health and by the amount of research that demonstrates this power. As a wellness coach, I seek to help clients use this power of lifestyle to help them regain, and better control their own health by creating plans that are both health-promoting and enjoyable. With my speech practice and wellness coaching, I am especially passionate about the role that a plant-based diet can play in maximizing overall wellness and recovery.

About Moringa: The Miracle Tree.

The Moringa tree flourishes in hot, dry and harsh environments, in which most plants have difficulty surviving. In fact, in these environments, the Moringa often grows more than ten feet in its first year and provides nutritious leaves that can be harvested within two months.

The Morgina is critical for those in communities where agriculture is difficult. Its leaves provide shade from brutal suns in deserts from Arizona to South India, as well as vital nutrients, including plant-proteins, fibers, and essential vitamins. In the harshest environments, the Moringa has adapted to provide what’s needed most.

I named this practice after the Moringa tree because I believe its story mirrors many of our own. In life, we are often thrown into new, harsh environments, in which we feel that we cannot thrive: We cannot act, think, and, most importantly, give in the ways that we are accustomed. However, although our contributions may not look just how we imagined, they continue to be possible and can serve as the foundation for a meaningful, productive, and rewarding life. Like the Moringa, we are often able to provide what is needed most, both for ourselves and our loved ones, in the
